But as the reader is hypnotized by the voices that make up the plot, he will discover some unexpected relationships. This choral novel is a cynical, insolent and sometimes hilarious dissection of the human soul, but also a reflection on the brevity of our passage through life, and on the importance of assuming a full existence.
All 18 characters are equally important. Upon finishing the novel, the reader will merely be able to grasp the net of complexity and interweavement that is spun throughout the course of all of these chapters, the reader will finally begin to see how all of these characters are connected, a big picture emerges.
